Fly and Soar at Denver’s Inverness Hotel
In the early days of
flight, aviators felt the exhilaration of the wind blowing through their
hair and the grandeur of a bird’s eye view in true solitude. Today, hot air
ballooning is the way to view landscapes and topography, while gracefully
drifting in near silence over treetops, sharing the open skies with gliding
eagles and hawks.
Denver’s Inverness Hotel has
launched the Fly & Soar couple’s retreat package to combine the excitement
of hot air balloon flight with upscale accommodations, spa treatment and
luscious gourmet treats. The package is available through October 31, 2008.
The
package includes two nights for two in a deluxe hotel room, a one and a half
hour hot air balloon ride for two with complimentary champagne and
continental brunch aboard A Balloon Adventure Aloft (weather permitting),
Xpress Focus Massage for two at The Spa at The Inverness and one ‘Take
Flight with Tony,’ sampler featuring artisan cheeses, chocolates, and wines
at Fireside Lounge.
Aloft a Balloon
You will embark on a one of a kind adventure from
Littleton Chatfield State Park, soaring more than 11,000 feet to gain a new
perspective of the Mile High city. From here, you’ll view the Rocky
Mountains’ peaks and topography.
A Retreat for Two
The 4,500-square-foot Spa at The Inverness features
seven treatment rooms, a Relaxation Suite adjacent to an outdoor hot tub,
patio and fireplace, and a couples’ suite for soothing massages, soaks,
facials, wraps, scrubs and signature body treatments, using organic and
natural products.
Flights of Fancy
Each month, executive chef Anthony Sinese
selects a seasonal wine and pairs it with complementary cheese and chocolate
to offer guests a masterfully combined trio of flavors, known as ‘Take
Flight with Tony.’ This delectable ‘flight’ or food tasting, features
three varietals, four artisan cheeses and three chocolates indulgences.
